As I mentioned on my « C’est moi » page (click here for the « C’est moi » page), when we visited Paris for the first time, I was determined to live as closely to the Parisian life as we could. No English speaking hotels for me. I wanted to stay in a neighborhood, in one of the tiny Parisian apartments, in one of the Haussmann style buildings … and WE DID!! It was great!!
The first night, we were so tired that we could sleep through anything, even the unexpected music/dance club/party on the ground floor … I’m pretty sure the music continued until the wee hours of the night, but it didn’t matter, we were absolutely exhausted. Nine hours on a plane which was delayed by two hours to begin with, plus a long, unexpected layover in the Reykjavík Airport will do it to you everytime … and we still go back again and again, and stay in a tiny Parisian apartment.
Next week, a couple of things to consider when staying in a tiny apartment in an old Parisian building!

Comme je l’ai mentionné sur ma page « C’est moi » (cliquez ici pour accéder à la page « C’est moi »), lors de notre première visite à Paris, j’étais déterminée à vivre au plus près de la vie parisienne. Pas d’hôtel anglophone pour moi. Je voulais loger dans un quartier, dans un des minuscules appartements parisiens, dans un immeuble haussmannien… et ON L’A FAIT ! C’était génial !
Le premier soir, on était tellement fatigués qu’on a pu dormir à n’importe quel moment, même à la soirée musicale/discothèque/fête imprévue au rez-de-chaussée… je suis presque sûre que la musique a continué jusqu’au petit matin, mais peu importe, on était complètement épuisés. Neuf heures d’avion, avec deux heures de retard au départ, plus une longue escale imprévue à l’aéroport de Reykjavik, ça vous a toujours fait mal… et on y retourne encore et encore, et on loge dans un minuscule appartement parisien.
La semaine prochaine, quelques points à prendre en compte lorsque vous séjournez dans un petit appartement dans un vieil immeuble parisien !
