À l’approche de Noël, beaucoup d’entre nous sont déjà dans l’ambiance des fêtes, installent des décorations scintillantes, vérifient leurs listes de courses et planifient des repas festifs élaborés.

Mais de nombreux Européens bousculent les habitudes en choisissant de passer les fêtes à l’étranger plutôt qu’à la maison avec leur famille élargie.

Si certains veulent créer leurs propres traditions, ou profiter des fêtes pour caser un peu de voyage et d’aventure, d’autres cherchent simplement à échapper au stress, au chaos et au coût qu’implique l’organisation de Noël chez soi.

As Christmas approaches, many of us are already in the holiday mood, putting up glittery decorations, checking our shopping lists and planning elaborate festive meals.

But many Europeans are shaking up habits by choosing to spend the holidays abroad rather than at home with their extended family.

If some people want to create their own traditions, or take advantage of the holidays to pack in a little travel and adventure, others are simply looking to escape the stress, chaos and cost of organizing Christmas at home.
