Did you know that August in France is … vacation for everyone!!! Maybe not literally, but a lot of businesses close, and it’s time for a little break before « la rentrée »… back to school.

Sometimes August can be really hot, especially in Paris, so August is a great time to get away to a beach to cool off. Considering that France is bordered by four different bodies of water (the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, the English Channel, and the North Sea) there is a lot of coastline to vistit. Many French citizens take this opportunity to enjoy time away from the city… whether it be a trip to a beach, or un petit repos in the country, is the perfect way to say goodbye to the summer season!

Il peut parfois faire très chaud en août, surtout à Paris. Août est donc le moment idéal pour se rafraîchir à la plage. La France étant bordée par quatre étendues d’eau différentes (la mer Méditerranée, l’océan Atlantique, la Manche et la mer du Nord), le littoral est vaste. De nombreux Français profitent de cette occasion pour s’éloigner de la ville… que ce soit pour une escapade à la plage ou un petit repos à la campagne, c’est la façon idéale de dire au revoir à l’été !
