The ambiance of Paris… there is a certain « je ne sais quoi » (I don’t know what.)
Before going to Paris for the first time in 2013 (click here to see the whole story), I really didn’t care to see anything other than the pyramid at the entrance of the Louvre, then, I wanted to escape the city for the countryside. Having lived in a large city for most of my life, my idea of a vacation did not include large cities… at all. When I expressed these thoughts to my world traveling friend, she said, “You are going to Paris. There are so many things to see and do. You have to do them at least once.” Okay, I trusted her to not lead me astray, so we did ALL THE THINGS! We will never regret doing exactly that!!
There is a certain… I don’t know what about Paris. Yes, absolutely, it is a very large city, but there is an ambiance like none other.
There are so many “cultures” to appreciate… the café culture, the wine culture, the bread culture, the pastry culture, the history culture, the architectural culture, the museum culture, the market culture, the park culture, the boutique culture, the culture of just enjoying life… pick one or many, they each have a life and an allure of their own… and all of that while enjoying long walks along the Seine.
It’s so obvious… I have a love affair with Paris, the culture of Paris, and its certain « je ne sais quoi ».

L’ambiance de Paris… il y a un certain « je ne sais quoi ».
Avant d’allé à Paris pour la première fois en 2013, (cliquez ici pour voir l’histoire entière), je ne voulais absolument rien voir d’autre que le pyramid à l’entrée du Louvre, ensuite, j’ai eu envie de fuir la ville pour la campagne. Ayant vécu dans une grande ville la majeure partie de ma vie, mon idée des vacances n’incluait pas les grandes villes… pas du tout. Quand j’ai exprimé ces pensées à mon amie qui avait voyagé le monde entier, elle m’a dit, « Tu vas à Paris. Il y a tellement de choses à voir et à faire. Tu dois les faire au moins une fois ». D’accord, je lui ai fait confiance pour ne pas me tromper, alors nous avons TOUT fait ! Nous ne regretterons jamais d’avoir fait ça !!
Il y a un certain… je ne sais quoi à Paris. Oui, absolument, c’est une très grande ville, mais il y règne une ambiance unique.
Il y a tant de « cultures » à apprécier… la culture des cafés, la culture du vin, la culture du pain, la culture de la pâtisserie, la culture de l’histoire, la culture de l’architecture, la culture des musées, la culture des marchés, la culture des parcs, la culture des boutiques, la culture du simple plaisir de vivre… choisissez-en une ou plusieurs, chacune a sa propre vie et son charme… et tout cela en profitant de longues promenades le long de la Seine.
C’est tellement évident… j’ai une histoire d’amour avec Paris, la culture de Paris, et son certain « je ne sais quoi ».
